Spiced Chocolate Smoothie

Morning is the most crucial time of the day because how you start your morning always predicts what kind of a day you have ahead. A spiced chocolate smoothie is the best way to spice up your day. 

Ingredients:

Chocalate Smoothie
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 150ml plant milk (organic oat, almond, cashew, macadamia, soy or coconut)
  • few drops of vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp organic raw cacao powder (you can add another ½ if you like it dark brown)
  • 2 tbsp organic coconut sugar or 1-2 Organic de-seeded Medjool dates (to taste)
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (to satisfy your taste buds)
  • ½ tsp ground true Ceylon cinnamon

(If you like your sweet smoothie, you can add an extra Medjool date or a little more coconut sugar).

Method:

Chocalate Smoothie
  • Add the cocoa powder and coconut sugar to the bottom of your Vitamix blender.

  • Then add the frozen banana, plant-based milk, vanilla extract, nutmeg and cinnamon.

  • Blend at high speed. Check the smoothie after blending if the consistency is thick and creamy.

  • Pour into a smoothie glass 

  • And sprinkle a bit of cinnamon dust. 

  • Serve straight away for the best flavour and fresh taste.
